Did i make a mistake dumping him?

ok so im 16 i broke up with my bf of two years two weeks ago cuz i feel he wasn't committing enough anymore and was being very secretive about everything. Rumors are going around that Ricky (my ex) has been "doing things" with my best friend Bre. I want my bf back but that hurts is that Bre told me she want ever gonna go after Ricky no matter how much she wants to. Should i get back w/ him or let him date my best friend. she hasnt said anything to me about it, and none of my other friends are interested in him because he was my bf. im confused!! Ricky's best friend said Ricky wants to get back together but im not sure anymore :(
