I need some help with my German...?

Think of Shakesperean English...the verb endings back in Shakespeare's time were VERY similar to Modern German. Think of "I have, thou hast, he/she/it has"...if you take into account the usual consonant changes between English and German, you see the endings are practically identical. Pretend you're in a Shakespeare play when you're speaking German, and it will come to you more easily.
