Can you TRULY be friends with an ex?!?

It does depend on the history between the two. If the two drifted apart and found others, I can see them remaining friends. But when the two have had really bad experiences with their partner, and love turned to hatred, there is no way that they can ever be friends. I know because it happened to me just that way.
