Why does my keyboard mess everything up I type?

I'm going to assume that you have tap-to-click on your laptop's trackpad. Under these circumstances, I would say you are accidentally bumping the trackpad as you type. This would "randomly" click on the screen (wherever the mouse happens to be) and throw you off. Find the trackpad settings and there may be an option to disable it while typing or to not have tap-to-click so you actually have to click to click something.
